Historic motorsport enthusiasts will remember, of course, the beautiful Jaguar D-Type in the ’50s, with its wing mounted vertically behind the driver. Well, now, half a century away, Jaguar announced that it will produce a limited number of the superb F-Type, called Project 7, which was inspired by the famous postwar Jaguar D-Type .

Initially launched as a concept in 2013, Jaguar F-Type Project 7 will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​in 2014, where he will receive the crown of the most powerful and fastest Jaguar ever built.

To get these wonderful qualifications, designers and engineers from the Division of Special Projects Jaguar squeezed no more and no less than 567 hp from the 5.0-liter V8 waiting guard, like a cat under the elongated hood of the British speedster.
Now that we have set aside the question of power, it is time for the issue of speed. And here, Project 7 impresses again with a sprint from zero to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than an F-Type R) and a top speed of 300 km / h.

All power goes to the rear wheels via a gearbox eight-speed automatic, which has been recalibrated for the F-Type special.
Moreover, the suspension was adjusted to be 50% on the front axle tougher and tougher back 8%, while disc brakes come standard carbon-ceramic.
Regarding the exterior, F-Type Project 7 takes many of the concept presented last year as characteristic swelling behind the driver, but renounced at  dedicated support for helmet, which was located in place of the passenger seat, and becomes a genuine speedster two places. However, there is a fabric roof that can be installed manually if it starts to rain.

Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is the first production car developed by the new special division of the British manufacturer and will be built in only 250 copies, each with a starting price of 135,000 pounds (or about 168,000 euros).
